Will You Be My Savior?

Samantha mewed softly as she tried to stay dry. It was pouring down rain and she had no place to stay that night. The young catling was a rare breed, a breed that never grew into a full cat, but stayed a kitten. Her light brown ears were folded against her head, her tail wrapped around her waist. She gave a softly, sad meow and curled up under a tree.

Jason frowned as he ran thru the pouring rain, he stopped as he heard a soft meow.

The tiny catling sniffled. She knew she was going to get sick in this weather. After all, catlings have the weakest immune systems of all known races. Her ears perked up at the sound of rustling in the grass nearby, someone was there.....she meowed again.

Jason heard the soft meowing again and hurried towards the sound.

Samantha curled up fearfully as the rustling noise came closer. She didn't know if it was the demon coming after her.

Jason stopped when he saw the young catling.

Samantha looked up at him and mewed. She could tell he was a catling like her, but she didn't thing he was of a domestic breed.

"Are you ok little one?" Jason asked softly as he walked closer.

"I'm not a kid you know," Samantha muttered. "I'm just small and no I'm not okay I'm wet and I'm cold."

"Sorry my car is over there if you want to get out of the rain." Jason said.

Samantha nodded. "What are you?" she asked, as she got up.

"I'm a lion catling." Jason answered.

"Calico, domestic kitten breed," answered the small catling.

Jason smiled and said "Come on kitten lets get you out of the rain."

Samantha smiled and nodded. "Okay."

Jason smiled and quickly lead her to his car.

Samantha followed him, shivering slightly.

Jason opened the door for her to get in before getting her a blanket.

Samantha got in quickly. "Why are you being so nice to me?"

"Because your a catling like me and i know whats its like to be alone on a rainy night." Jason answered.

Samantha nodded. "It sucks, and I can't stay in one place......" her sentence interrupted by a sneeze. "For long...."

"Why not kitten?" Jason asked.

"I've got demons hunting me," she said, sneezing again.

"How did a little kitten like you get on the bad side of some demons?" Jason asked.

"It's my breed," said Samantha. "Permanent kitten breeds are sold as sex slaves."
