Someday

Michael closed his eyes sadly as he walked into his appartment, he had just made a deal with Darwin to keep his family safe. But the price he paid to keep them safe meant he'd have to give up the family he was protecting.

Samantha was curled up in her mother's lap in the rocking chair. She was asleep.

"Melissa we need to talk." Michael said softly trying to not wake Sammy.

Melissa looked up confused. "Is something wrong sweetheart?"

"I made a deal with Darwin." Michael said softly "To keep you and Sammy Jay safe."

Melissa sighed. "Michael what have you done?"

"I did want i had to to keep my family safe." Michael said "I work for him now."

Melissa sighed and shook her head.

"He said if i worked for him he'd leave you and Sammy Jay alone." Michael said.

"But.....you'll have to leave us...." Melisa sighed.

"I know but i don't know what else to do, we've had so many close calls." Michael said softly.

Melissa nodded slowly, looking away.

"I'm sorry Melissa." Michael said softly "I have to go tonight."

She nodded. "It's gonna kill her, you know that."

"I know its going to kill me too Melissa but its for the best, its the only way i can protect you two." Michael said looking away.

"How do you even know he's going to keep his word?" Melissa asked.

"I don't but i don't know wabt else to do." Michael said "But i'm going to have a friend look after you and Sammy Jay."

Melissa nodded, looking down when she saw Samantha stir.

Michael sighed softly, he didn't know how he was going to tell her.

Samantha woke up, staring up at her father. "Hi daddy."

Michael gave a sad smile and nelt next to her "Hi Sammy Jay."

Samantha cocked her head to the side. "What matter daddy?" she asked. "You look sad."

Michael sighed and started stroking one of her ears "Well Daddy needs to tell you something important Sammy Jay."

"What daddy?" Samantha asked softly.

"Daddy has to leave Sammy Jay and daddy doesn't know if he'll be aloud back." Michael said sadly
